Camino de Santiago – Charity Run

Hello! My name is Dmitry Sharov and I am from Ukraine.

Unfortunately, February 24 will be the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

For a year now, our boys and girls have been fighting the enemy at the front line. For a year now, Ukrainians have been living with the sound of air raid warnings and generators chattering. For a year now, we have been losing those who will never be replaced.

We are all doing everything we can for our victory, so I decided to organize a charity run through St. James’ Way to raise funds to buy a car for our combat medics working in the Bakhmut sector.

In addition to fundraising, I will also be telling people I meet along the way about the war in Ukraine.

Each of you will be able to join me on my journey through the Camino de Santiago, because I want to not only run it but also shoot a video that will be posted on my YouTube channel.

So, I’ll give you content, a lot of content, and you’ll have to donate to help our guys!

How will this all happen?

We will raise the funds together with my good friend and volunteer Sergiy Golovko. Sergiy has been helping our military and people affected by the war for a year now, so I am confident that with his help my idea will be realized in the best possible way.

Camino de Santiago travel plan:

On February 23, I will leave Berlin for France and on February 24, I will start from the town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to get to Santiago de Compostella on March 6.

I will run this pilgrimage route alone, without support, because all support is needed in Ukraine.
